To be sure, I spend some of my free time in more mundane pursuits - going to the dry cleaners, making Costco runs, paying the bills. ![]() I treasure my time away from work as much as I do my time in the office, because it’s how I recharge, refocus, and reboot. I love my job, but I also experience it as “work” – and therefore as only one part of my life. We’ve all heard the advice to “do what you love, and you’ll never work another day in your life.” I really like the sentiment, but I don’t fully agree with it.
